The Superior Comforter is perhaps the most versatile piece of insulation gear ever created! It is a fantastic top-quilt with a cinch-able bottom and roomy footbox. AND it functions as an awesome under-quilt as well! It comes equipped with the Superior Gear Snap system which allows the comforter to be snapped right onto our StarLite or the Superior Hammock for true deep winter ratings. But this gives a great vent-able bottom insulation option. The Snap System keeps the under quilt secure and it won’t slide around or allow any cold drafts on the sides. This solves nearly every challenge of traditional under quilt systems. And both can be packed together easily, but also separated quickly to suit conditions. We also offer a Suspension Kit option to use the Comforter any hammock. For ground-dwellers, this quilt is nice and side around the sides and shoulders (58″), so you’ll still get cozy top warmth on your pad. The whole reason I bought Superior Gear was for the attached under quilt. I used it successfully under my new Voyager hammock to get me through a winter Scout camp.
