The Wind Protector gives extra warmth, wind blocking, moisture protection and protection from brushing up again plants. It connects securely via our Snap System and bungees at the ends connecting to the suspension buckle or end loop. It can be conveniently packed with the hammock as well.

As much as I love my 15F SG Hammock, this protector has one glaring issue.
Upon first use, some of the snaps ripped off, as they were not perfectly aligned with hammock attachment buttons with enough slack to accommodate my svelte 190lbs.
It’s only damaged near the foot ends of the cover, so I believe it will still function. I haven’t decided yet to ask for a replacement, because if they’re all assembled this way, I’ll just get another one waiting to be ripped.

I purchased the “waterproof” version of the wind protector in 2023. It fits snuggly which caused some snaps to rip out as well when getting in/out of hammock (I assume). It still functions though. My other comment is that moisture (from the hammock) can pool in the protector since it doesn’t breath. It should be noted that this was in southern humid environments. I don’t plan on warrantyng the product as I agree with the earlier post.
I plan on purchasing the breathable version, but I’m waiting to see if design adjustments will occur.

This is an updated review to my Feb 7th review. Thanks to Kyle for offering and expediting a shipment to replace my original order.
After hooking up the new protector, I can tell right away from that they solved the problem. All snaps connect properly, and with myself in the hammock there is enough slack between snaps to prevent breakage both from sheer weight, moving around, and getting in/out of the hammock, etc. Nice work Superior Gear!
